Hello everyone!
I am happy to announce that changes have been made to the Artisan Crafts galleries!
The additions and changes are as follows:

Artisan Crafts > Dolls, Plushies & Custom Toys > Amigurumi
This newly created gallery is specifically for amigurumis. The name comes from the Japanese words for knit/crochet (ami) and doll (nuigurumi) and is a very popular form of creating stuffed toys. The gallery description reads:
Small stuffed toys made by knitting or crocheting a body and then stuffing to create a three dimensional shape. These can be animals, people or inanimate objects. Facial features and details are often embroidered onto the finished amigurmi.

Here are some amazing examples from this gallery:
Snow Buns by MoonYen Black Ninjapus Amigurumi by egyptianruin FLCL Haruko by a-touch-of-strange

Artisan Crafts > Folding & Papercraft > Models
This newly created gallery is for three dimensional models created from paper or card stock. The description reads:
Papercraft models made from printed or colored paper or card stock and constructed with or without the help of glue. This gallery is intended for the finished models only, not for patterns or designs.

Here are some fantastic examples from this gallery:

The Costumery galleries have been updated. In addition to Period & Historical and Miscellaneous you can now choose from the following three options. We hope that this serves our costume maker community well.

Artisan Crafts > Costumery > Costumes > Character & Theme
This newly added gallery is specifically for costumes created for theme parties or parades that are not meant for cosplaying or role-playing. The description reads:
Costumes created to represent a specific character or theme but that are not intended for role-playing. For example theme party costumes, costumes representing a specific occupation, Halloween costumes, etc.

Here are some great examples from this gallery:
I Heart Nerds Hello Kitty by Firefly-Path My Hatter by Eveningarwen The Princess by Nymla

Artisan Crafts > Costumery > Costumes > Cosplay & Role-Playing
The cosplay gallery has been updated to include role-playing. The description reads:
Costumes made for the purpose of cosplay or role-playing. This includes anime cosplay, movie or book character role-playing, original character role-playing, LARPing costumes and more.

Here are some great examples from this gallery:
Outrunning the Past by AyameFeitom Decisions we make by Federkiel Meow Mix by infinityink888

Artisan Crafts > Costumery > Costumes > Stage & Screen
The theatrical gallery has been updated to include on-screen costumes as well as on-stage costumes. The description reads:
Costumes made for the use on stage or screen, for example in theatrical productions, screen plays or film and movie productions.

Here are some great examples from this gallery:
The Miser - Maids by anissadeanna The Lady's Not for Burning by amyryder Pirate vest-Pirates of Penzanc by magic-needle

And there is the brand new addition of the Needlework galleries which come with the following description:
Art created through a needlework technique like knitting, crochet, cross stitch, latch hook, etc.
This category is broke up into the following galleries:

Artisan Crafts > Needlework > Crochet
Works created with crochet techniques, this includes scarves, hats, doilies, sweaters, dish cloths, wall hangings, etc. Three dimensional crocheted toys should go into the Amigurumi gallery within Dolls, Plushies & Custom Toys.

Here are some beautiful examples from this gallery:

I'm so happy that the amigurumi category has been included!!!
I am an "amigurumer" and I was never satisfied with the fact of classifying my dolls as "plushies" :D

They do not have their own category yet, no. I personally don't consider them artisan crafts but rather Traditional Art > Drawing (or digital, depending on how they are created, of course). :)

 Does needle felting belong under needlework?

Depends on what it is, really.
I would mostly classify it as textile work. However, if it's a needle felted toy or soft sculpture, the Dolls, Plushies & Custom Toys gallery is the way to go. For accessories I'd go with the Textiles gallery. For jewelry with the Jewelry galleries.

Sweeet, I know I've seen a lot of confusion about where stuff goes, this should help, the existing fiber art seemed to be a bit of a catch-all for a lot of embroidery and such.

Yes, fiber art had to take a lot of abuse. I hope the new needlework galleries make it easier for artists to find a good home for their work. :)
